This section contains information about Forecast 2, the RAF network-capable resource and personnel management tool.
Forecast2 is currently the core resource management aid in use on all front-line Harrier squadrons and the Strike Attack Operational Evaluation Unit. It is also currently being evaluated by several Group-level staff for more widespread deployment.

Forecast2 is an electronic planning tool specifically designed for small and medium-sized military units. It extends Microsoft Excel™ and networking technology to provide an easy-to-use, shared programme to manage people, resources and events.
The system leverages your investment in Microsoft Excel but also builds on it to provide complete automation of normally time-consuming planning activities.
Forecast2 improves long-term planning by including summaries of Leave Utilisation and Time Away from Home, as well as enhancing the transparency of plans at all levels.
Compatibility
Forecast2 is tested to be compatible with Microsoft Office™ 97 or 2000, using Microsoft Windows™ 98, NT4 (plus Service Pack 6) or 2000 (plus Service Pack 3) Operating Systems.
